Ram Janmabhoomi

Ram Janmabhoomi is a highly revered site for Hindu devotees. The significance of Ram Janmabhoomi Ayodhya stems primarily from its association with the epic Hindu scripture, the Ramayana. According to this ancient text, Ayodhya was the capital of the kingdom of Kosala and the birthplace of Lord Rama, who was born to King Dasharatha and Queen Kaushalya.

Deepotsav

The Ayodhya Deepotsav is probably the grandest celebration one will witness not just in the city but in the whole country. Artistes dressed as Shree Ram, Sitaji, Lakshmana descend via a helicopter (symbol of the Pushpak viman) at a grand Ramkatha Park.

Lata mangeshkar chowk

The Lata Mangeshkar Chowk marks the intersection of Ram Path and Dharm Path, both beautifully bedecked with ornamental lamp posts ahead of the consecration ceremony of the upcoming Ram temple in the holy city.

Guptar Ghat

Guptar Ghat is a holy ghat situated on the banks of River Saryu in Faizabad . It is one of the popular religious places to visit in Ayodhya. Guptar Ghat holds religious significance. Guptar Ghat is believed to be the place where Lord Rama meditated .

Kanak Bhawan

The Kanak Bhawan is established towards the northeastern corner of the Ram Janmabhoomi in Tulsi Nagar. Constructed in 1891, this temple is also known as Sone-ka-Ghar. It is a holy site dedicated to the Hindu deity Lord Rama and his wife, Goddess Sita.

Nageshwarnath Temple

The Nageshwarnath Temple is located adjacent to the Theri Bazaar in Ayodhya. It is believed to have been set up by Kush or Kusha, Lord Rama's son. Although this sacred site continued to be in good maintenance since 750 AD, the current temple is said to have been reconstructed in 1750 by Safar Jung's minister, Naval Rai.

Hanuman Gari

Hanuman Garhi is 1 km from Ayodhya railway station. Vikramaditya got a temple constructed which later on came to be known as Hanuman Garhi. It is believed that Lord Hanuman (Pavan Putra) lived here guard Ayodhya. You will find here a beautiful idol of Bal (young) sitting on lap of Maa Anjani at the main temple.

Shree Swaminarayan Mandir

The Swaminarayan Mandir in Ayodhya is part of the Swaminarayan Sampradaya, a spiritual tradition founded by Bhagwan Swaminarayan in the early 19th century. Ayodhya, being the birthplace of Lord Ram, holds immense religious significance in Hinduism. The presence of a Swaminarayan temple in this ancient city connects the Swaminarayan faith with the broader spiritual and cultural heritage.
